Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG is the world's largest printing equipment manufacturer. The new global CEO, Mr. Jürgen Otto, and his delegation recently visited China for the first time.
On October 17-18th, Madam Li , Chairman of Masterwork Group, welcomed President Jürgen Otto and his delegation to Tianjin. The two parties engaged in comprehensive discussions on ways to enhance global strategic collaboration, advance China's business growth strategy, expedite the implementation of the doubling plan, and better serve global customers.
Over the past 10 years, the two listed companies have experienced multi-level cooperation from simple product distribution, asset acquisition, and two-way distribution to equity investment and the establishment of joint ventures. MK has become a strategic partner of Heidelberg. It has built a R&D center in Germany and a factory in Slovakia. Madam Li has become the largest shareholder and member of the Supervisory Board of Heidelberg.
Jürgen Otto has chosen China and Tianjin for his first overseas inspection since he took office as the global CEO of Heidelberg for three months, which reflects his full recognition of the Chinese economy, market, and the MK, and his full expectations for cooperation between the two sides. During the two-day trip, Jürgen Otto and his party visited the Masterwork’s smart manufacturing base, the digital intelligent business segment and the financial leasing service business and learned in detail about Masterwork's development history, product portfolio, R&D and intelligent manufacturing capabilities, the group's achievements in digital intelligent business, and the joint service of both parties to customers in the financial leasing business. They highly affirmed the achievements of MK's 30 years of rapid development, as well as its R&D and equipment manufacturing capabilities, product performance and management level.
The two parties engaged in a comprehensive exchange of perspectives on the strategic level going forward. Both parties concurred that packaging and printing equipment has high technical complexity, extensive market reach, promising potential, and intense competition. It is inevitable that intelligent development will become the dominant trend in the future. As the world's first and China's first printing companies, the two parties should reinforce their cooperation in products and technologies. They should also form a collaborative research and development approach and provide customers with comprehensive solutions and complement each other's advantages. It is necessary to speed up the opening of data links, continuously launch new products and services, improve equipment conversion and work efficiency, improve stability and intelligence, and provide global printing and packaging customers with updated functions, more stable, efficient and intelligent overall solutions to serve global customers jointly.
